28 year old Punjabi youth murdered in Ontario with intention of robbery
A 28 year old Mohit Sharma from Punjab was found dead inside his car in Ontario. Authorities have identified robbery as a suspected motive in the death. Mohit's cell phone, some of the gold jewellery he was wearing, and his ATM card were all discovered missing from the scene of the crime.
Mohit's cousin Armaan visited him in Canada about two days ago informed the family that Mohit had gone missing after the New Year's Eve party before he was found dead in a car in a lonely place the next day
The victim's father, Tarlok Nath Sharma, said that his son had gone to Canada about five years ago on a student visa. Following the completion of his education, Sharma got Permanent Residency in Canada. He was currently working as a manager of a company.
Tarlok Nath works in the CRPF and is currently posted in Jammu. He urged that the Union government raise the issue with the Canadian authorities and conduct a thorough inquiry into the incident so that the culprits can be arrested and prosecuted.
