Toronto police have arrested and charged Ivan Ramirez Chavira, 25, accused of being a note-passing robber who held up three Brampton banks and three in Toronto.

— Toronto Police (@TorontoPolice) April 26, 2018The man robbed six banks between October 2017 and March 2018.He was arrested following a violent struggle with officers on Tuesday.He has been charged with six counts of robbery, six counts of wearing a disguise and one count of assault to resist arrest.
In each robbery, a bandit handed a note to a teller, claiming he had a weapon. No weapon was ever seen.
On Oct. 7 the Royal Bank at Sandalwood Parkway West and Creditview Road was robbed. On Oct. 12, the Scotiabank in the area of Sandalwood Parkway West and Mississauga Road was robbed. In both crimes, the bandit demanded a specific amount of money in the note he used.
