TD: Bank robbed in Brampton plaza in broad daylight

Peel Regional Police are hunting at least one suspect after TD Bank was robbed in broad daylight in Brampton.

Heavily-armed tactical officers and police dogs responded to the area of Sandalwood Parkway East and Kennedy Road around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday (July 3) after a 911 call reporting a robbery at the TD Canada Trust inside Sandalwood Place plaza.

Peel Const. Akhil Mooken described it as a “very fluid scene.”

It’s believed the suspect fled the scene with a large quantity of cash. The suspect fled in a four-door, gold-coloured Mazda sedan with steel rims and no licence plates.

No injuries reported.
