7th World Dwarf Games kick off in Guelph, ON.
The World Dwarf Games have been held every four years since 1993.
More than 400 athletes from 20 countries have descended on the southwestern Ontario city of Guelph for the 7th World Dwarf Games.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday night at the University of Guelph. Events, which include badminton, soccer, basketball, floor hockey and power lifting, will run from Aug. 5 to 12. Competitors range in age from six to their 60s.
