Two people lost their lives Tuesday morning after two planes collided in mid-air near Steinbach, Manitoba.
RCMP say they received reports of the collision around 8:45 a.m. in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.
Emergency crews, including police, firefighters, and paramedics, rushed to the site and discovered the wreckage of two small single-engine aircraft south of Steinbach.
Both pilots were declared dead at the scene. No passengers were on board either plane at the time of the crash.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been informed and is now investigating the incident.
