NRI couple found murdered in Phagwara

An NRI couple was reportedly murdered in Phagwara. The couple was killed with sharp-edged weapons at their local residence in Onkar Nagar.

According to SSP, the deceased couple has been identified as Kirpal Singh Minhas (67) and his wife Davinder Kaur (65).

The couple had come to Phagwara from Canada last year in November for a few months but they got stuck in India due to lock-down.

One of their tenants, Jassi Dholi was found absconding. A case under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered and the bodies have been sent for autopsy.
