Terra Nova-The Peninsulas, NL – Conservative candidate Jonathan Rowe has officially won the hotly contested Terra Nova-The Peninsulas riding, edging out Liberal candidate Anthony Germain by just 12 votes following a judicial recount.

Initially declared the loser on election night, Rowe reversed the result through the recount process, securing 19,605 votes to Germain’s 19,593, according to Elections Canada.

This narrow victory marks the Conservative Party’s third seat in Newfoundland and Labrador and brings their national total to 144 seats. The Liberal Party remains in minority government status with 169 s

eats.
