NDP will not receive official party status -MacKinnon

Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon has stated that the NDP will not receive official party status, as current legislation requires a minimum of 12 seats for recognition.

Following last month’s election, the NDP's seat count dropped to just 7. Party's former leader Jagmeet Singh also resigned the election night.
