Expedia boss Dara Khosrowshahi has been chosen as Uber's chief executive.

Khosrowshahi would replace Travis Kalanick, who resigned in June following pressure from shareholders.The firm is battling to repair its image after a series of scandals.

Dara Khosrowshahi is an Iranian-American businessman and the CEO of Expedia, Inc., an American travel company.
