Due to a wildfire, the city of Prince Albert has forced people in about 34 homes just north of the city to evacuate.
People in the rural municipality of Buckland, Saskatchewan, where the fire is burning, are affected by the evacuation order. Hundreds of people have been advised to prepare to evacuate if the wind shifts, according to Prince Albert Mayor Greg Dionne.

People who live and work north of Highway 55, east of Cloverdale Road and west of Honeymoon Road are being asked to relocate and seek their own lodging on Highway 2. People can go to the Margo Fournier Centre, 1211 1st Ave West, to register and obtain more instructions.
As a fire raged across Highway 55 from Marilyn Boyer's shop, Garden of Dreams Greenhouse, on Monday evening, she packed up valuables.
The city council of Prince Albert voted at 6:30 p.m. CT to declare a local state of emergency because the fire was threatening to spread and demanded immediate action, according to the city.
City firefighters are fighting the fire in the area of Evergreen Road north of Prince Albert, just past Red River Park, according to a spokesman for the Prince Albert Fire Department. The public is being asked to stay away from the city.
